MedVac Vacuum Immobilization Bag, Infant SplintThe Med Vac Infant Immobilizer eliminates the need for sedation in Pediatric MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) Scans. See "Guideline for Transporting, Stabilizing and Performing Brain MRI in Neonates Without Sedation" Written by Neonatologist - Dr. Amit Mathur - Washington University School of Medicine.
“Since we bought our immobilizer, we have done all of our MRI’s and CT’s using the device, and have had 100% success. Since I am so convinced about it's usefulness, I also made efforts to convince my colleagues to purchase the device and use it for their neonatal cases” - Dr. Agneta Golan - Head of NICU, Soroka University Medical Center, Beer Sheva, Israel
MedVac’s air-tight, chambered vacuum bag comes filled with tiny, evenly spaced beads. Simply wrap the vac bag around the infant, secure the straps, hook the bag to a pump and evacuate the air. The bag will become rigid around the newborn without squeezing or applying pressure. When finished, simply release the valve to allow the vac bag to re-fill with air, then undo the straps.
